Pastor: Father Mathew Pamplaniyil. Father also pastors the mission parish, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Starkweather.
Sunday Mass times are alternated 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. between the two parishes. Saturday evening mass is always at St. Mary’s at 5:00 p.m. Weekday masses are at 8:00 a.m., but the days vary, so it is best to check the weekly bulletin. Confessions are heard ½ hour before the masses.
Religious Education classes for K-12 run October through April from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday nights.
Organizations active at St. Mary’s are the K.C. Council and Alter Society/Christian Mothers.
There are three cemeteries tended by the parish. They are St. Mary’s of Munich, St Boniface of Calio, and Clyde Cemetery of Clyde N.D.

Munich Rural Fire District came into existence in 1963. The ambulance was purchased in 1971. They operated under one entity until 2007.
The fire department consists of approximately 25 volunteer men. Bruce Wirth is the current fire chief, assisted by Todd Eisenzimmer. The eight townships served by the fire district each have one director named to the board.
The ambulance department has approximately 22 volunteers, five of these are EMTs. This organization became a separate entity in 2007, with three of the EMTs on the board of directors. Craig Schommer holds the president position on both entities. Rita Wirth is secretary and treasurer for both.

Farmers Union Oil Co of Devils Lake was established in 1931 in Devils Lake. Over the years we have acquired locations in Lakota and McVille and deliver to all the surrounding areas. Our company is made up of C-stores, bulk delivery of fuel, gas, propane and oil; and a wholesale tire delivery. In the summer of 2022, we took over the oil portion of Munich Elevator and Oil. Currently we have the 24 hours pay at the pump at the station and we are delivering to the Munich area. Contact Tom, Mark, or Arlen with any questions.

The Munich Public School is a Pre-K through 12th grade school with an enrollment of currently 92 students. Munich School’s Superintendent/HS Principal is Mr. Robert Bubach. The Elementary Principal is Mr. Curt Kram. The School Board Members are Bobby Foster, Kelan Goeser, Kelly Haaven, Kelly Hall, Susan Harder, Chris Pankratz and Jason Wirth. Munich School’s coop for sports is Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich. The sports that the Munich School offers are baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, softball, track and volleyball. You may find all sports schedules on www.region4nd.org.
